My Story

Hello! This is Micaela, and it is a pleasure to share a little about my life with you. At the moment, I do not attend any church. However, my family and I know that it is necessary to hear from God. We are grateful to LW because they shared the gospel to encourage us to attend a church soon; we are going to try to follow their advantage. Besides that, this project has provided us with food and medical care. My mother, Gregoria Chingo, is 40 years old. Since my stepfather abandoned us, she has been the only one who supports our necessities. Our priorities are clothes and food supplies like corn. She makes weavings and grows some herbs and vegetables like potatoes and chayote to sell. In addition, she raises sheep and hens to sell when they are older to get an extra income. Unfortunately, her health condition is not as good as we would like. She suffers from pains in her hands and feet, but because of our low resources, she has not been able to go to the doctor.

As you know, I have never studied because of my mental and thyroid conditions. However, my health is stable, so I help my mother to do the household chores and shepherd our animals along with my grandmother Manuela. Being a businesswoman catches my attention, so I hope to make a living by doing that someday. The best season of the year is Christmas. I like seeing colorful fireworks. My favorite beverage is apple juice, and I like the marathon sport. I am a Quiche native speaker, although I would like to communicate with other people in Spanish. I turned nineteen years old in April, and what I enjoyed the most was singing the happy birthday song to celebrate. This is all for now, but I appreciate you reading my letter.
