My Story

Hello! I am grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for allowing me to share my latest news with you through this letter. I hope this finds you well. My full name is Sheny Fabiola Gonzalez Tiam and I am a healthy 20-year-old lady. I prefer cold rather than hot weather because I do not like sweating. I have attended the feeding program for about twelve years, which has been a great blessing. My mother felt motivated to enroll me there because she wanted me to experience the Lord’s love through foreign people as she did when she was a child. She remembers with nostalgia that she enjoyed delicious meals that she could not have at home since her family lacked the income to prepare elaborate meals. Today, she is a healthy housewife and raises domestic animals to sell. I am dedicated to helping her with the chores such as washing clothes or dishes, sweeping, making tortillas and shepherding our sheep.

I tell you that my father has worked in the United States for about two years. Fortunately, he is in good health and sends us his financial support every weekend. We are in touch with him daily, so we know that he works in the construction area. About our spiritual life, I tell you that we are members of the Methodist Church. It has been a great blessing to have a family there! The Sunday Bible school is very dynamic and I would like to serve there someday. I tell you that sister Yesenmia (a member of the LW staff) recently congratulated my mother for having assurance about her salvation. She also shared with my mother that having Jesus in her heart has been the best thing that has ever happened to her. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family.
