My Story

I greet you fondly, wishing the best for your loved ones and you. My name is Roxana Soledad, and I am glad to share my last news with you. My family and I still attend our local Catholic Church on Sundays. I want to use this opportunity to thank LW because a teacher of the evangelism team shared the gospel with my mother. That was a great help for her to increase her faith. Besides that, I can tell you the feeding program is a meaningful project in my community because many needy children and teenagers like me can receive delicious lunches. My father, Santiago Tum, is 41 years old. He works hard as a farmer for other people. He also grows corn for our consumption. My mother also does her best to help him with the expenses. Her name is Jacinta Chan and she is 33 years old. She raises pigs and hens for sale. Thankfully, my whole family and I are healthy.

I am thirteen years old and this year, I am in seventh grade. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because I can learn the lessons much better. Nowadays, my parents have passed through economic troubles covering my school supplies and the fare that I need to go to school. I have to travel every day from Chixocol to Zacualpa town. I would love to become a doctor and speak a new language like English.  Therefore, I would like to count on your prayers for my whole family and me. My favorite season is rainy and I love drinking water. I had my birthday in January. What I love the most is having a delicious lunch to celebrate my day. My family usually does it to celebrate birthdays at home. I like sports, but my favorite is soccer. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mother gave all this information to a teacher of LW to inform you about it. I say goodbye to you for now, but I send you many kisses and hugs.
