My Story

Cordial greetings from Guatemala! My full name is Damaris Julissa De La Cruz Garcia, and I am so happy to share about my life and family with you through this letter. I am so happy because God has kept me healthy. I am 14 years old, and I attend the seventh grade. I want you to know that I admire my parents so much because they work hard to provide me with all that I need. The Lord blessed me with the best parents, undoubtedly.

My father is a day laborer and a merchant. He usually sells baskets or any kind of product on Thursdays and Sundays at the market. On the other hand, my mother keeps busy doing the chores and raising chickens to sell. We know that Jesus is our Savior thanks to our pastor. We are members of the Methodist Church, Rock of Salvation. The activity we enjoy taking part in the most is the anniversary of our church. Before saying goodbye, I want you to know that I made a good friend a while ago. Her name is Ashly. We usually meet to play soccer. See you later!
