My Story

Hello, good afternoon! I am so grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for giving me the opportunity to share a little bit about my life with you through this letter. My full name is Felix Estuardo Flores Gomez and I have attended the feeding program for about fourteen years. I have received medical and dental help, which have been a great blessing for me. My parents are grateful to the social work that this organization has done in our town for many years. We know their work could not be possible without your support, so thank you so much. I am 20 years old and I am pleased to tell you that I am enrolled in the first year at the university. I study a professional training to become an industrial engineer. Thankfully, I am in good health. I usually help my mother with the household chores in my free time.

I do not have any preference between cold and hot weather because each one has its own charm. My whole family and I attend the Catholic Church, and participating in the holy mass helps us to learn more about God. We know that nobody is perfect, but we know that Jesus helps us to be better than yesterday. Brother Emanuel (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged us to trust in God’s promises and take care of our salvation because Jesus saved us when he died on a cross. I live with my parents and one of my brothers. Fortunately, they are in good health. My father works hard as a farmer in the field, while my mother keeps busy taking care of our family. She also works as a domestic employee in order to contribute to the household chores. This is all for now, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family and me so that God keeps us healthy.
