Child
Hello! My name is Erind Bizgjoni, and I am 15 years old. My birthday is in April. I am happy to say that I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is blue, because it reminds me of the sky on a clear day. When I get older, I would love to become a football player. I enjoy the energy and excitement that come with every game. Every chance I get, I play football with my friends, and it is one of the best parts of my day.I spend my mornings at school, which is in the next village over since we do not have one in our own. I am very thankful to the school for providing transportation so that I can attend every day. I have many subjects to study, but my favorite is physics. I have always found it fascinating how physics explains how things work. It is also the class where I earn my best grades, which makes me enjoy it even more. After school, I usually meet up with my friends and play ball in the streets before heading home. Once I am home, I help my mother with whatever she needs — sometimes it is chores around the house. In my free time, I enjoy watching videos and playing games on my phone. I live in a small but cozy house in a village that belongs to the community of Pogradec. My family is made up of five people — my mother, father, younger brother, and my grandmother, who also lives with us. My grandmother is part of the Adopt a Child program, which is something we are very thankful for. My mother is a housewife and takes care of our home, while my father works in Greece for about nine months each year. His work in immigration means he is away from home for long periods, and although it is hard not having him here, I understand that he does it to provide for us. Whenever he visits, it feels like a celebration because we all miss him so much. We often go into town to buy groceries or to visit the doctor since there are no hospitals in our village. Life in the village is peaceful and simple, but it teaches me to appreciate what I have — my family, my friends, and the opportunities I have been given. The Adopt a Child program receives packages containing food items and groceries that can be cooked in their homes. When the child comes to receive their food box, they are asked to bring their parents. This way, we have open doors to evangelize and invite them to join our church activities. The program offers children bible classes the I attend often. The program also offers weekly bible studies for women that my mother attends frequently. Thank you for helping the children in our program spiritually and physically. God bless you in abundance.
