My Story

Receive a cordial greeting from Jocotenango town. I hope this letter finds you doing well alongside your loved ones. My name is Kerlyn Alejandra Tiul Lopez, and I am pleased to share with you a little about my life. I am 23 years old and I work as a waitress in a restaurant located in Antigua Guatemala to help my family a little economically. We are grateful for all the blessings we have received from LW-Adopt A Child. I have attended the feeding program for about 15 years, and I pray that God blesses the staff and all those who support the work of this organization. Thankfully, my whole family and I are in good health. I help my mother to do some household chores like doing the dishes, making beds, and sometimes sweeping the floor. My mother used to work by selling tortillas and tamales to help my father with the expenses. Today, she dedicates her full time to taking care of our family. My father has a modest smithy workshop at home to cover the essentials.

I am glad because there is nobody sick at home. We are members of Chosen Remnant Church. Worshiping God is the thing that motivates us to go church. I would like to be part of the worship band someday because I like singing. Brother Franklin (a member of the LW staff) recently asked my older sister about why God should allow her to get in Heaven? She answered that God loves us and after accepting him into our hearts, we can be admitted there. She also said that even though we are not worthy to receive that grace, we can get it thanks to our faith and God's mercy upon us, and I agree with her. Please pray for my family and me so we can keep on our path of faith and serving Christ. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope you found this information engaging.

Sincerely yours,

Kerlyn Alejandra Tiul Lopez
