My Story

This is Juana, and I am delighted to share my last news with you. My family and I are members of a Christian Church called King of the Centuries. We usually attend our services every Monday. The Lord has never stopped blessing us, and as proof of that, many families like mine can receive material and spiritual support through LW. This is a meaningful project for us because one of my brothers could undergo surgery when he needed it the most, so we are grateful. The evangelism teacher of the feeding program encouraged us through my brother, Dany, to continue loving the Almighty while he collected this information for you. My mother, Maria Quino, is 38 years old. She works hard at home by doing the chores and looking after our domestic animals. We have hens and sheep. My father, Gregorio Idelfonso, is 39 years old. He makes a living as a farmer and grows corn and beans for our consumption.

Besides that, he travels to the coast and works there for two months because of the coffee harvest time. He does his best for our family, but he does not earn enough to cover all the bills. Therefore, it is difficult for him to support the school expenses of my young siblings. Our priorities are food supplies. Thankfully, my whole family and I are healthy. Nowadays, I help my mother to clean our home, but I would like to work to help my parents with my income. I look forward to making a living in a tortilleria business someday. I already know a few Spanish words and expressions, but I would like to learn more about that language to speak it fluently. Christmas is my favorite time since I take advantage of it to eat delicious tamales. I like drinking Pepsi, and my favorite sport is soccer. My birthday was in April. What I enjoy the most is receiving gifts to celebrate my day. Thank you so much for reading my update! I say goodbye for now, but I send my best wishes through this letter.

Sincerely yours,

Juana Idelfonso Quino
