My Story

I hope you are having a blessed day alongside your loved ones. Praise the Lord my family and I attend Catholic Church, and we go on Sundays and Wednesdays. We are thankful to the LW staff because they shared the gospel and gave us encouraging words to continue seeking God. Thankfully, we are in good health. My mother is Juana, and she is 33 years old. She does the household work, and she raises hens, pigs, and cows. Furthermore, she weaves typical blouses to sell and get income. My father is Francisco, and he is 36 years old. He works by looking after vegetables and greens on a farm in Santa Cruz del Quiche. He supplies the family´s needs. My father grows corn and black beans just for our consumption.

I am Cesar Anibal Fernando De La Cruz De La Cruz, and I am a 13-year-old boy. I am a seventh-grade student. My classes are at school, and it is better for me to comprehend the lessons in this way. My parents are striving to support me at school, and the expenses are high since my siblings are attending school too. The teaching profession catches my attention, and I would like to study for it. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. I like to play football in my free time; it is the sport I like the most. I like drinking soda, but my favorite is Pepsi. I would like to have a cake to celebrate my birthday; I am sure it will be so special for me. I like Christmas time because my mother cooks “tamales” (a typical dish). and people light firecrackers all around. We are so grateful to Living Water for the tasty meals I receive each time. It is a big blessing for me and also for my siblings. The greatest needs are groceries, and corn. Hoping to receive news from you soon. May God bless you!

Lots of love,

Cesar Anibal Fernando De La Cruz De La Cruz
