My Story

Many greetings! It is a big pleasure to write this letter to someone special like you. My full name is Gustavo Enrique Portuguez Garcia, and I am 13 years old. I dedicate myself to working as a day laborer to help my mother a little bit economically. I love playing soccer with my friends. I want to share that Alfredo Morente has been my best friend for eight years. I was in sixth grade last year. I could continue studying because of a lack of financial resources. Despite ups and downs, I am glad and grateful to God for having a job and being healthy. Wherever I go, Jesus takes care of me. I love counting on Him as a friend.

Thanks to the Almighty, I have my mother with me. We have a lot of confidence in each other. She raises and sells chickens to cover the essentials. Besides that, she grows and sells edible herbs at the market to earn extra money. As for her health, she suffers from gastritis. Fortunately, she is already under treatment, which has helped her to feel better. We still do not have a church, so LW has encouraged us to find one. We are grateful for the gospel they also shared with us. It is time to say goodbye, but I appreciate you taking the time to read my letter. Until next time!
