My Story

Hello! I greet you from the bottom of my heart and I wish you a brilliant day with your loved ones.  I want to share a little about my family and me in this opportunity. My mother`s name is Florinda Riz Benito. She is 38 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home and takes care of the family. Moreover, she raises hens to sell and get some income.  My father´s name is Juan Riz.  He is 40 years old. He continues working as a farmer in order to support us financially. As a humble family, our current needs are corn and groceries. Currently, we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church twice a week. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit. So, she is sure of her salvation in Jesus and to go to heaven someday. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

I am Deura Ciomara Riz Riz. I am 11 years old. This year I am in 5th grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot about subjects with this study method. Nowadays, my parents are making an effort to support my brother and me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that they do not have a stable job. Sometimes, it is very difficult to cover every expense. In the future, I want to help my mother with chores at home. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish in order to improve my communication with others. What I like to drink is “Incaparina” (a hot beverage made of corn soy flour). For my birthday I like to eat delicious food for lunch and share it with my family. Among sports, I prefer soccer. My family is grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that you sent to me at the end of the year. May God bless you greatly!

Warm regards,

Deura Ciomara Riz Riz
