My Story

This is Junior Gregorio Morente Chingo, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. We are still members of Prince of Peace Church, and we attend the service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We are assured of our Salvation. We have hens at home, but we do not have crops. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries and clothes. My father’s name is Juan. He is 36 years old, and he is in good health. He works as a farmer and day laborer. My mother’s name is Rutilia. She is 34 years old, and she is in good health too. She weaves typical blankets for selling.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 12 years old, and I am healthy. I am repeating 3rd grade, and I like attending school. It has been difficult for my parents to cover my school expenses because they do not have a stable job. I want to travel to the United States when I am older. My favorite celebration is Christmas because I can light fireworks. I enjoy eating cake for my birthday. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking “mosh” (hot beverage made from oats). I want to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect as my first language. Living Water is very important in my life, and I am grateful for the support received. I hope to hear from you soon.

With much love
