My Story

It is a wonderful day to say hello to you and I trust in our Lord you are fine! At the moment, we do not attend church. This time LW staff shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to look for a church and seek God. I will think about accepting Jesus in my heart and attending a church. Please pray for my mother´s health because she is having body pain. Due to a lack of resources, she has not visited a doctor, and she only buys some injections against the pain. My father is Jose Garcia Gonzalez, and he is 45 years old. However, he does not live with us. He is employed as a day laborer and helps us economically once in a while. My mother is Olivia Cux Tarse, and she is 36 years old. She is a housewife and weaver, and she also does farm work. In addition, she raises chickens for selling and for our consumption. We do not grow anything because there is no space for it.

This is Lesbia Karina Garcia Cux, and I am 11 years old. I am a fourth-grade student; I receive classes at school, and it is better for me to comprehend the lessons. My mother is the one who covers the school supplies and home expenses, but it is hard for her because now, everything is expensive, and she does not have a good income. Later, I would like to look for a job as a domestic employee and be able to help my mother with the expenses. I love drinking coffee, and it is my favorite beverage. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. Let me tell you I love Christmas time; I have a good time with my family and eat “tamales” (a typical dish). At home, we do not have birthday celebrations because of a lack of resources, but I wish to have a birthday celebration; it will be wonderful for me. I take this opportunity to give thanks for all the support I receive through Living Water; the meals and medical care are a great blessing for me, and it is an economic savings for my family. My family needs groceries, corn, and soap. I send much love through this, and I hope to receive news from you very soon. Many and abundant blessings to you!

Warm greetings,

Lesbia Karina Garcia Cux
