My Story

Hello! This is Selvin Alexander Chan Zacarias. I greet you with much love hoping you are doing fine. I am writing you to tell you how my family and I are this year. Thankfully, we are now attending Prince of Peace Church on Thursday and Sunday, and we are assured of our salvation. My father is working in a hardware store to support us; his name is Selvin and he is 37 years old. My mother is working hard at home and taking care of us; her name is Estela and is 28 years old. My parents are in good health. At the moment, we are in need of groceries like corn. We do not have crops like other families since we do not have a piece of land to sow.

I turned 12 in November, and I am in good health. I want to work in a grocery store when I am older. I am in 3^rd grade this year, and I like attending school. We are a family of low resources, so it has been difficult for my parents to cover my school supplies. Christmas time is close, and I like it because I light fireworks. I also enjoy my birthday because I eat cake. My favorite drink is “Incaparina” which is a hot beverage made from corn and soy. I love playing soccer. I speak Quiche dialect as my first language, so I have to improve my Spanish. It is a great blessing for my family and me to be part of Living Water; I have been supported in a big way.
