My Story

My full name is Mynor De La Cruz Hernandez and I am grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for allowing me to share with you a little about my life through this letter. I am 22 years old and I have attended the feeding program since I was about 6 years old. What I like the most is learning new Bible verses before having my meals. Fortunately, I am in good health and I dedicate myself to work as a day laborer to contribute a little bit with the expenses. Since my mother passed away, life has been difficult, but I do not give up. Unfortunately, she died due to cancer in her stomach. My brother and I take turns doing the chores like washing the dishes, sweeping, and looking for firewood. My father makes a living as a farmer and prepares our meals after he comes back from work. He also sells chickens and turkeys to get an extra income.

At the moment, we do not attend any church. Therefore, sister Sandra (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel with us as an encouragement to look for God. I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude for all the benefits that my family and I have received through the feeding program. This charity organization has changed many lives in a positive way. I remember that my parents felt motivated to take my brother and me there because our neighbors gave them good comments about it. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for us so that God keeps us healthy and provides us with all that we need both material and spiritually. See you later!
