My Story

My name is Deily Marina, and I am delighted to greet you through this letter. I hope you like my information. My family and I attend Methodist Church Emanuel. We usually attend our services on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays. The person who I live with is my grandmother. Her name is Rosa Morente, and she is 44 years old. She makes a living by tending to a fabric store to cover some of my needs. My mom, Maria Elena Gutierrez Morente, is 31 years old. She has worked in the United States for about 11 years. She is a gardener. Because of her job, she barely has communication with me. I would love to travel to that country someday because I miss her a lot. Thankfully, my family is in good health. As for my father, let me tell you that I do not know anything about him. I hope he is doing well. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that LW has been a meaningful project for us because of all the material and spiritual support the staff gives us.

I am 16 years old, and I am in good health. I was in tenth grade, which was the first year of my professional career to become a kindergarten teacher. I enjoyed attending school because the teachers helped me a lot with my learning. This career has been demanding because, this year, I had double the number of classes. It was difficult for my grandmother and mother because they had to pay for tuition, round-trip bus fares, and sometimes breakfast and lunch. There are many things that I would love to do when I grow up. My native language is Spanish, and besides this, I would love to speak the Kiche dialect. I love Christmas because it is a lovely and cheerful time. My favorite soft drink is Coca-Cola, and my favorite sport is soccer. I get excited when my birthday comes because my family makes my day memorable. I am grateful because I can count on them. I say goodbye to you for now, but I want you to know that my grandma helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW to update you about my life. If you want to know more about my life, do not hesitate to ask me.

Kind regards,

Deily Marina Jimon Gutierrez
