Good morning! My name is Emily Estefanie Calachij Garcia and I want to tell you that my parents are grateful for the support I get from Adopt-A-Child. I am doing fine, but when I am sick, I have the privilege to visit LW doctor, and he gives me medicines. My parents were encouraged to take me to the Program when their neighbors told them about this wonderful place. I like to attend the Bible classes after lunch time.
I live with my parents and they are doing well. My mother is a stay-at-home-mom and she also grows herbs, radishes and cabbages to sell and get some income. I help my mother doing the cleaning and laundry. My father tries to cover our needs by working as a farmer and a typical day laborer. I am sixteen and I am in 5th grade. I enjoy drinking hot coffee and eating bread when days are cold, so I prefer cold weather.
My family and I belong to the Christian Church and we love our church because we visit each other and encourage ourselves. I love the youth group from my church because we sing and read the Bible. We believe that someday we will be in heaven because we have accepted Jesus in our hearts and he is our lord and savior. The LW teacher encouraged my mother to continue trusting God and prayed for health for our family. My older sister Juana gave my personal information during the visit. I hope you are doing well when my letter reaches you. I love you so much in Jesus’ love!
Warm wishes,
Emily Estefanie Calachij Garcia
