My Story

Hello, everybody! My full name is Iker Ulises Martinez Martinez and I am pleased to share a little bit about my life with you. I am a healthy 15-year-old teenager and I like going for walks when it is hot. I am doing my best at school as an eighth-grade student. To contribute to the chores, I am dedicated to cleaning my bedroom. I also run errands to help my mother. My father is doing well and works hard by selling medicines to support our family, while my mother keeps busy at home. Her health condition is stable, thanks to the treatment that she receives at the public health center since she suffers from diabetes. I want to use this opportunity to ask you to pray for her because she lost her mom about one year ago.

My grandmother's death was a heavy blow for my mother since they were close. She used to ask her mom for advice or encouragement. Despite this sad situation, my mother has learned to give thanks to God for all the time they could spend together. We do not attend any church at the moment, but I hope we can do it someday. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel with my mother and me as an encouragement to look for God. He also prayed for us in order to strengthen our faith in Jesus and believe in his mercy. This is all for now, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter for you.
