My Story

Special regards from Chuchuca village! I want to start this letter by expressing to you how blessed I am for all the support that I have received at LW-Adopt A Child. This charity organization has provided food and other benefits to many children for a long time, which has been worthy. My full name is Santiago Mardoqueo Calachij Gomez and I have attended the feeding program for about ten years. What I like the most about receiving Bible lessons is learning new verses. By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy teenager. I will turn 15 years old in November and I am in seventh grade. To contribute to the chores, I usually help my father to carry firewood. I prefer hot weather rather than cold. I attend a Christian Church alongside my mother and listening to the scriptures is our main reason to persevere there.

My mother accepted Jesus in her heart as her Lord and Savior a while ago. Therefore, she does not have any doubt about her salvation. She is a healthy housewife and strives to contribute to the expenses by raising and selling chickens. Moreover, she weaves and sells typical clothes. While she keeps busy at home, my father works hard as a farmer and day laborer in our village. It is almost time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter for you. She felt motivated to take me to the feeding program because she heard that children received a nice Christmas gift, which blesses the whole family. Thank you so much for making this and other blessings possible with your donations!
