My Story

My name is Jose Manuel Tiul Pangan and I am excited to share my latest news with you through this letter. I am 13 years old and I am doing well. I am in seventh grade and I like the hot weather because I have a lot of fun playing with water. I usually help my mother to run errands since she keeps busy working in order to support my family. Could you please pray for her? Unfortunately, my father abandoned us in November of last year. This situation was difficult for my whole family, but especially for my mother who has to strive to move forward with my siblings and me. She works hard in the cleaning area for a mall. Her schedules for work start in the afternoon and end at night. Her health situation is a little complicated since she suffers from ovarian cysts.

Fortunately, my mother receives medical assistance at the Guatemalan social security and doctors told her that she might need a surgery. She is worried about it because she would need to stay home and rest, but there is nobody else who can help her to cover the expenses and needs of our family. Could you please pray for her? My family and I are glad to be part of a Christian community named the Holy Spirit. The fellowship and kindness motivate us to continue persevering there. My mother believes that she will go to heaven because she was adopted by Jesus when she accepted him in her heart. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to continue looking for God and shared the gospel with her in order to strengthen her faith in Jesus.
