My Story

This is Oscar Yadiel Ramos Natareno, and I am updating you about my family and me. First, I will tell you about my family. Currently, we are members of a Pentecostal Church called New Jerusalem, and we attend the services three times a week. We have accepted Jesus in our hearts, and LW Evangelism team has encouraged us to continue trusting in Him. We have hens at home, and we grow corn for our consumption. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries. My father’s name was Victor, and unfortunately, he passed away years ago. My mother’s name is Evelin. She is 29 years old, and she is healthy. She sells “rellenitos” (Guatemalan typical snacks) on the town’s streets.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 9 years old, and I am healthy. I am in third grade, and I am happy to receive face-to-face classes because it is easier to do my homework. It has been difficult for my mother to cover my school expenses since she is a single parent; she is doing her best. I want to become a firefighter when I am older. My favorite celebration is Christmas because I spend time with my family. I enjoy my birthday because I eat a special lunch. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking banana shakes. A lot of people in my town speak Quiche dialect, so I would like to learn it as well as to learn English. Living Water is very important in my life, and I have been blessed through the feeding program and clinic. I hope to hear from you soon.
