My Story

It is a joy for me to say hello to you through this. I am Joyci Mishell Cach Garcia. I am fourteen years old. I am repeating 8th grade this year. I attend school once per week, every week when I go to school, I hand in my homework which I do at home by using study guides. Thankfully, I have understood what the teachers have taught me so far. The thing I missed a lot from the feeding program was, attending it along with my sister, the tasty food, and having some fun there. For me to get there, it takes ten minutes away from home by walking. To earn a living, my father sells different types of products to provide for our household expenses. My mom stays home doing the chores and taking care of us. Weekends are a special to us, for we go to the field and have a nice time there. We did celebrate Christmas by decoraing our home, making tamales, fruit punch and spending a good time altogether with the family.

We are attending Mount Hebron Church, located five minutes away from home. My mom is a deacon in the church, and I am part of the youth group. The time the church was closed due to the pandemic, we felt peace, for God is in control of every situation. We own two-room house with separate kitchen. The house is made of cement block, tin sheet roof and concrete floor. It has electricity and running water. The house condition is good. Pandemic affected sales from the products of my father, so we went through difficult times. For that reason, I thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we recieved in those difficult moments. As food supplies is a greatest need at home, it was all a great help for us. Money to pay study expenses is also a greatest need at home. I ask you to please pray for us to not have lack of money to pay for it. Thanks in advance. Currently, I am doing well, and so is my family, thanks to God. Finally, I want you to know, my mom gave this information in person, to an Evangelism team member who visited us at home, to share with you my last news. This is all for now. Thank you for reading this. Hope to hear from you soon.

Lots of affection,

Joyci Mishell Cach Garcia
