My Story

It is a blessing for me to say hello to you through this letter. My name is Wilson, and I hope you are doing well. I live with my parents and a few siblings. We are Catholics and attend mass on Mondays. As for health, none of us are sick. My father, Herman Ajqui, is 45 years old. He makes a living as a farmer and day laborer. He also travels to the coast to cut coffee beans from November to February. My mother, Isabel Jimon, is 40 years old. She is a housewife and spends most of her time raising domestic animals for sale. She raises hens, pigs, and sheep. Our greatest needs are groceries, especially corn. I want to use this moment to let you know that it is a tremendous happiness for me to attend the feeding program. This project is a great blessing because I receive spiritual and material help. My family and I grow and harvest our own corn and beans for our consumption. 

I am ten years old and I love attending school as a third grader. I am glad to receive face-to-face classes because I learn and understand the lessons much better than studying at home alone. Thankfully, my parents have been able to cover my school supplies because those are not expensive in our village. I would love to work in a grocery store when I am older; I want to help my family economically. The rainy season is my favorite because I enjoy running in the rain. I love drinking strawberry juice and playing soccer. I would love to learn a new language like English. I hope to accomplish it someday. I had my birthday in February. What I enjoy the most is eating a delicious lunch and a birthday cake to celebrate a new year of life with my family. To end this letter, I want you to know that a teacher of LW spoke with me to collect all my news for you. I say goodbye to you for now, but I wish you the best. See you later!
