My Story

It is a pleasure to greet you through this letter hoping you are fine. My family and I attend Prince of Peace Church, and we go on Mondays. I have already accepted Jesus in my heart as my savior. My mother is Luciana, and her age is 33 years old. She does the household work and raises hens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, and cows for selling and get income. We grow corn and black beans for our family´s consumption. My biological father was Esteban Luis Gutierrez, and he passed away a couple years ago. Thank God, my uncle Alberto Luis works by doing “fletes” (carrying packages for other people) with his car, and he is helping us with the home expenses. Thank God, I am fine and so is my family.

I am Marvin Josue Luis de Leon, and I am a 12-year-old boy. I am attending 6^th grade; I receive my classes at school, and I enjoy playing with my classmates. On weekends, I go to work with my uncle as a helper and get some money; I use that money for my studies. My native language is Quiche dialect, and I would like to learn to speak Spanish because I would like to communicate better with other people. I also want to learn English; it is an interesting language. My dream is to become a singer.  On my birthday, I would like to have a party and enjoy it alongside my loved ones. I like the town´s fair; there are mechanical games, and I take a ride on some of them. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. I like coca cola which is my favorite beverage. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries and corn. I am so grateful to Living Water who provides me with a tasty meal each time I go and with dental and medical attention; it is a big blessing for me and also to my family.
