My Story

It is my pleasure to greet you through this and I hope you are doing great! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Path of Holiness Church; we go on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Fridays. My father is Lester Anibal Oscal, and he is 40 years old. However, he has another family and does not support us in any way; he is a house painter. My mother is Sindi Tzun, and she is 32 years old. She works by cleaning houses for others, and on her day off, she helps my grandmother in the tortilla shop; she no longer lives with us. My grandmother is Lidia Tzun; she makes a living by making and selling tortillas to supply the home expenses. I have been living with my grandma, and she supplies my needs. Fortunately, my family and I are fine.

I am Lester Geovanny Estuardo Tzun Sip, and I am 10 years old. this year I was repeating second grade; I received classes at school and I learned a lot. Supporting me at school is hard for my family because of a lack of resources, especially now that school supply prices have increased. My native language is Spanish, and I would like to learn to speak K'aqchikel´ Mayan dialect; it is very interesting. I want to study and become a policeman in the future. Soda grappete my favorite drink. Playing football is so much fun; it is my favorite sport. I like firecrackers; I light some fireworks at Christmas time. Due to limited resources, we do not celebrate our birthdays. I am so blessed to be part of the feeding program from Living Water, and I appreciate so much the support I receive through the meals and medicines for free which means a great blessing for me and my family. At home, the primary needs for us are groceries, a bed and school supplies. I am sending much love. May God bless you greatly!
