My Story

This is your sponsored child, Maria Isabel, and I am delighted to say hello to you through this letter. I hope your loved ones and you are doing well. I want you to know that my family and I attend Liberty Church on Tuesdays. We trust that Jesus is our Savior. My mom is Cecilia Quinilla Batz, and she is 54 years old. She works hard as a farmer to support me. Besides that, she raises hens and pigs to sell. As for my father, let me tell you that he left my family and me a few years ago. He makes a living as a farmer and occasionally helps us economically. His full name is Sabino Luis Morales, and he is 50 years old. My mom and I live with my oldest brother, Jorge, and his family at their house. We share the expenses with them. Fortunately, we are all in good health. Some of our needs are groceries, especially corn. Now, I want to tell you a little bit more about me. I am 13 years old, and I was a fifth grade student this year. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because it is the best study method.

My mom did not have trouble covering my school supplies this year. Praise the Lord, those are inexpensive in our town. My dream is to work in Guatemala City to help my family economically. Besides that, I would love to speak English. Therefore, I would love to count on your prayers for me. My favorite holiday is Christmas because my family and I love having tamales to celebrate. Soft drinks are delicious, but my favorite is Orange Crush. My favorite sport is soccer. When my birthday comes, I love having a tasty lunch, prepared by my mom, to celebrate with our whole family. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW. The feeding program has blessed me tremendously with food, medical and dental care.
