My Story

Hello! I am pleased to write this letter to let you know a little bit about my life. I am Ayisson Sayuri Morales Tay and I am 15 years old. I have attended the feeding program for about five years. Before having my meals, I usually receive Bible lessons. My family and I do not attend any church at the moment, but listening to the gospel through the LW staff helps me a lot. Besides that, it has been a great blessing to receive medical and dental care for free at the feeding program. Therefore, my father prays that God will bless all those who support this organization for having generous hearts and that He will keep them healthy and safe. I want you to know that I am doing my best at school as an eighth-grade student. Here in Guatemala, we only have two marked seasons: rainy and dry. I prefer rainy because it is more pleasant. After coming back from school, I usually wash the dishes and do the cleaning to help my grandmother.

I live with my grandmother, father, and young brother. My father has a stable job as a driving instructor to bring food home. While he goes to work, my grandmother takes care of us. Unfortunately, I do not have my mother with me because she abandoned our family. This situation has been hard to assimilate for my brother and me. Therefore, my father has done his best to encourage us and make us feel loved and cared for. About health, I am glad to say that my whole family is doing well. I wear prescribed glasses since I have vision problems. I need a new pair of glasses since I cannot see well with the ones that I have now, but my father has not been able to take me to the ophthalmologist because of a lack of financial resources. Could you please pray for us? To end this letter, I want you to know that brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently shared a lovely message of the Bible with my father, which was a great blessing. Until next time!
