My Story

It is a big blessing for me to greet you through this. This is Ayisson Sayuri Morales Tay, and I hope you are doing well. I am eleven years old. This year I am in fifth grade, and I am attending school the whole week, so I daily hand in my schoolwork to the teacher. I do not use study guides. It has been difficult because I could not see my classmates and spend time with them. I missed delicious food from the feeding program. I get there in five minutes by walking. My father earns a living by driving a truck. My mother does not live with us because she abandoned us some time ago. She does not help us economically. She has another partner. When we spend time together, we go to the park, and then we go to eat an ice cream. On Christmas, we celebrated as a family eating tamales and drinking fruit punch. At the moment, we are not attending any church.

We live in a five-room house. We cook our meals within one room. The walls are made of cement block, the roof of concrete and tin sheets and the floor of granite. It does have electricity and running water. The house condition is good. My dad had little work due to the pandemic. His workplace closed for a while, so it was difficult for him with the daily expenses because food supplies are a great need at home, and so are study expenses and the payment of the house services. That’s why, I thank the feeding program for the grocery bags we received, it was all a great help for my family and me. Thank you very much for this support. God bless you! As for health, let me tell you that my grandmother is having heart issues. She already visited the doctorand is under medical treatment in Guatemala Social Security. Finally, I want you to know my dad gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I hope to hear from you soon. I say goodbye to you for now.

Gratefully,

Ayisson Sayuri Morales Tay
