My Story

Hello, good morning! It is such a blessing to share a little bit about my life with you through this letter. I am Sandra Esmeralda Garcia Tecum and I am a healthy 11-year-old girl. I am in fifth grade and I have attended the feeding program for about five years. Before having my meals, I usually receive Bible lessons. We sometimes sing and that is what I like the most. When I stay home, I usually help my mother to wash the dishes. I prefer hot weather because it is perfect to drink soda with ice. I like the music and think that it would be wonderful to learn how to play the guitar to serve at church. My parents have taught me to be closer to God, through the Catholic Church.

I am pleased to tell you that my mother has assurance about going to Heaven because Jesus died on a cross to forgive her sins. She accepted Jesus in her heart as her Lord and Savior. Today, she is a hardworking woman and does her best to help my father to support our family. She is a housewife and dedicates part of her time to raising chickens and pigs to sell, while my father works as a day laborer. Thankfully, my whole family is doing well. I want you to know that she had the opportunity to attend the feeding program when she was a child. What she liked the most was participating in the discipleship lessons, the soccer championships, and receiving Christmas gifts just like my siblings and I do.
