My Story

Hello! I wish you a brilliant day, and I hope you are blessed by our Lord Jesus. I want to share a little about my family and me in this opportunity. My name is Jose Alejandro Gutierrez Mendez and I am 12 years old. My mother`s name is Maria Mendez Riz. She is 35 years old. Currently, she take care of the family, and she continues raising hens to sell and get some income My father`s name is Domingo Gutierrez Morente. He is 40 years old.  Nowadays, he continues earning a living by working as a farmer and day laborer traveling to the coast at any time of the year. We grow corn for the family`s consumption. As a big and humble family, our current needs are corn and groceries. Nowadays, we are attending Full Gospel Church. Thank you to the LW evangelism team who encouraged my mother to continue seeking God. So, she is sure of her salvation in Jesus. Thank God, all my family and I are in good health.

This year, I am in 3rd grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day. My parents strive to support my siblings and me at school. Nowadays, school fees are expensive and sometimes it is difficult to cover all expenses due to a lack of stable jobs. My dream is to travel to the coast along with my father in order to help him with his job. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). I like to drink Coca-Cola. Among sports, I like to play soccer. I want to let you know that I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of economic resources.  We are grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at year´s end. May God bless you greatly!

Love and kisses,

Jose Alejandro Gutierrez Mendez
