Chuchucá
Guatemala
Child
Hello, it is a pleasure to greet you today. I am bringing you some updated news through this short update. Thank you for taking the time to stop on my profile and read about me. It makes me feel so special to think that someone is thinking of me even from across the world. My name is Silvia Carolina Gomez Chingo. I am a 12-year-old girl who lives in the mountains of Guatemala in a small place called Chuchucá. I turn thirteen on November 30th this year, and I am so excited for my birthday to come. I am in sixth grade this year. We are finishing the school year now, and I am so happy because I have done well. Something that has happened to me recently is that I got very sick. I had fevers and I did not feel well, but we were able to go to the pharmacy and get some medicine. Now, I feel much better. I know God healed me and I am so grateful. Thankfully, my family is doing well. My mom’s name is Rosa Chingo Chingo. She stays at home and works in the house doing the chores. She also raises sheep and chickens at home that she sells so she can make some extra money. I love helping her with the animals. We both love little pets and farm animals. My dad’s name is Isaias Gomez De La Cruz. He moved to the United States thirteen years ago. He keeps communication with us and always sends us money to provide for our needs. He works on a farm in the states as a laborer.
My best friend is named Wendy. We have been friends for a year now, and we always walk to school together. My family and I go to church at Church of Christ. We love going to the anniversary services each year to celebrate another year of God’s goodness and faithfulness in our church. My mom always takes me, and she is very strong in her faith. She accepted Jesus into her heart, and she is sure of her salvation through Jesus Christ. I learned at church that Jesus is the Lord, and he loves us so much. I know He loves you too. I pray He will bless you in many ways along with your loved ones. Thank you for taking the time to read my update today. It was so special for me to share this information. I send a big hug and much love.
Many blessings,
Silvia Carolina Gomez Chingo
