My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you through this short update. This is your sponsored child, Tomasa Veronica de la Cruz Garcia. I hope you are doing well along with your loved ones. I am so happy to bring you some updated information about me. I am seven years old now. I am in first grace, and thankfully, I am doing well. Passing my classes last year was so exciting for me and it was a bog achievement. I know God helped me and took care of me. He gave me the knowledge and wisdom to do well in school. I Thank God that my family is doing well. My mom’s name is Cristina Garcia Riz. She is a stay-at-home mom. She works very hard doing the chores and housework, and she takes care of the chickens and animals. Sometimes she sells some chickens to make some more money for our family. My mom is the most important person to me because she always takes care of me. My dad’s name is Gerardo de la Cruz Mendez. He is a farmer and day laborer. He is the one who mainly provides for our family with what he earns.

We still go to church every week at Source of Light and Life Church. We love this church, and we especially love participating in the thanksgiving service for the harvest each year. At church I learned that Jesus is my friend, and He is my Savior. I also have another friend named Luci. We have loved to play together since we were little. Our favorite thing to do together is play soccer. I have enjoyed sharing this information with you today. I hope you enjoyed reading it and learning a little bit about me.
