My Story

Hello! I greet you from the bottom of my heart and I hope you are doing fine. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because I receive medical and dental attention in the LW clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to let you know that we continue attending the King of the Ages Church twice a week. Thank you to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit. So, my family has accepted Jesus in their hearts and someday I hope to do that. My mother´s name is Elena Coj De La Cruz.  She is 28 years old. At the moment, she is doing chores at home. Moreover, she weaves typical clothes and raises hens and pigs to sell and get some income.  My father´s name is Juan Lares Gomez. He is 30 years old. At the moment, he works as a mason helper and sometimes he works as a farmer. He grows corn, black beans, and bananas for our family´s consumption. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries, clothes, and firewood. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Diego Agustin Lares Coj and I am 10 years old. This year I am in 4^th grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot and it is easier with this study method. Thank God, my parents are making an effort to support me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that they do not have a stable job. Sometimes, it is very difficult to cover every expense. My dream is to become a mason. Christmas is my favorite celebration of the year because I like to receive some gifts and to light fireworks. I like to drink “Incaparina” (a hot beverage made of soy and corn flour). I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of money, but I would like to receive a birthday gift. Among sports, I like soccer. I hope you like to read my letter and thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every December. May God bless you greatly!
