My Story

My full name is David Javier De la Cruz Mendez and I am pleased to greet you by means of this letter. I tell you that I have attended the feeding program for about four years. This organization has been a great blessing not only for me, but for many children in my village since we can enjoy delicious food and receive a Christmas gift, which we really appreciate. I also participate in the bible classes, and I like them so much. I am 11 years old and attend the fourth grade at school. After coming back home, I do homework and play soccer with Nelson, my young brother. Between cold and hot weather, I prefer cold because it is the best to go for a walk.

Fortunately, my whole family and I are healthy. My father makes a living as a driver and day laborer. He usually travels to the coast and works in a coffee farm for three months a year. On the other hand, my mother keeps busy doing the chores and raising chickens and pigs for occasional sales. About our spiritual life, I tell you that we stopped attending church. Brother Hercules (a member of the LW evangelism team) recently shared the gospel with my mother and encouraged her to get closer to God again. She accepted Jesus as her savior many years ago, so I kindly ask you to pray for her discernment. This is all for now, but I thank you so much for taking the time to read my information.
