My Story

What a blessing to greet you through this letter! My name is Midalia Dominga Mendez Luis, and I hope you are doing well. I am 7 years old, and I am in first grade. I am doing my best at school. I am glad to share that God has kept my family and me safe from illnesses. My mother told me that I used to get sick easily when I was young, but Jesus healed me, so we praise his holy name. Let me tell you that my family and I are members of the Prince of Peace Church. We enjoy taking part in the different activities at church, especially the Thanksgiving services for the harvest.

I want you to know that my mother is assured of her salvation since she accepted Jesus into her heart many years ago. A member of the LW staff encouraged her to continue moving forward, which was a blessing for her. I want you to know that she is a great housewife and sells chickens to help my father with the expenses. As you know, my father works hard as a farmer and a day laborer. Before ending this letter, I want you to know that my best friend’s name is Maria. We have been friends since we were young. We usually meet to play with our dolls. I send you my best wishes, but I hope to hear from you soon. May God bless you today and always!
