My Story

Hi! It is a pleasure to greet you cordially and I wish you many successes in your daily life. I want to tell you a little about my family and me through this letter. I am Claudia Dulce Maria Montufar Quevedo and I am 12 years old.  As a family, we are attending the Christian Life Church every Thursday and Sunday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my aunt and for their encouraging words during the visit.  This year, I studied the 5th grade at school and I received face-to-face classes every day and I learned a lot about topics with this study method. Currently, school fees are expensive, but my parents made an effort to support my sister and me with school expenses. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn English; which is a very interesting language. My dream is to become a teacher.  My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish) along with my family. I like to drink passion fruit juice. What I like for my birthday is to eat a delicious meal for lunch. Among sports, I prefer soccer.  I want to ask your prayers for my sister Aidy Estefany who suffers from her intestines.  Fortunately, she visited the doctor and she is under medical treatment in Guatemala City. Thank God, the rest of my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Claudia Eugenia Quevedo De Leon. She is 37 years old. At the moment, she continues working as a primary school teacher. In addition, she raises hens, cows, and pigs for sale and gets some income. My father`s name is Marlon Moises Montufar Rosales. He is 37 years old. Nowadays, he continues working on a cattle farm in order to support us financially.  In addition, he grows corn for our family’s consumption. As a needy and humble family, our current needs are corn and groceries. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I received recently through LW. I hope you like to read my letter. May God bless you greatly!

Kisses and hugs,

Claudia Dulce Maria Montufar Quevedo
