My Story

Receive cordial greetings from Pasojoc village. I hope this letter finds you prosperous and blessed in the name of Jesus. My name is Alicia Cux de la Cruz and I feel blessed for being part of the feeding program since I have received medicine and food for three years. LW-Adopt A Child has been a great support for my family and me, so we are really grateful. I am 12 years old and I attend the third grade at school. Between hot and cold weather, I prefer hot because I enjoy drinking cold sodas. Thankfully, my whole family and I are in good health. I usually sweep and wash the clothes when I stay home to help my grandmother with the chores. Since my mother started to work in the city, I have lived under my grandmother’s care. She keeps busy growing tomatoes, green tomatoes, and edible herbs to contribute to the expenses.

The main supporter of our family is my mother. She is a single parent and keeps busy working in a tortilleria business, so she usually visits us three times a year. Fortunately, we are in touch with her by phone every day. About our spiritual life, I tell you that we are glad to attend the Prince of Peace Church because of the touching sermons and worship time. My grandmother accepted Jesus in her heart some years ago, so she trusts in God and is assured about her salvation. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family, especially for my grandmother so God keeps her healthy. See you later!
