My Story

Hello! I greet you cordially and I wish you many successes in your daily activities. In this opportunity, I want to share with you a little about my family and me. My name is Adrian Eduardo Ajqui de la Cruz, and my age is 5 years old, but I will turn 6 years old in August. I want to let you know that we continue attending the Prince of Peace Church once a week. Thankfully, my family and I have Jesus in our hearts. Thank you to the LW evangelism team who encouraged us to seek God. Fortunately, this year I am in kindergarten at school. I am learning to color the drawings. Thank God, my father strives to support me at school. In the future, I would like to be a policeman. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with other people. My favorite season of the year is Christmas because I like to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). I like to drink coffee. About sports, I prefer soccer. What I like to receive for my birthday are the new clothes that sometimes my parents buy me. By the grace of God, all my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Andrea De La Cruz Calachij. She is 20 years old. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home and raising hens and a cow. My father`s name is Moises Ajqui Grave. He is 23 years old. In this opportunity, I want to open my heart and I want to let you know that my father does not work on the coast as we informed you last year. We were embarrassed to tell you the truth in the past and we apologize for it. He lives and works in the United States. He earns a living by working as a cattle rancher on a farm in order to support the family with home expenses. We get good communication with him. We grow corn and black beans for the family`s consumption. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries. Thank you to Living Water because we have been blessed for instance with the meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at year´s end. Take care. Many blessings!

Warm regards,

Adrian Eduardo Ajqui de la Cruz
