Hello and greetings. We are happy to write to you about Esmeralda Maxhari. Her birthday is on October 29^th and she is 46 years old. She lived for many years in a rural area and finally had the opportunity to move as family to the town where she could be close to the hospitals. Esmeralda is mentally ill and her father cares for her constantly, together with his wife. The father of Esmearlda has divorced her mother and is re married. The stepmother of Esmearlda is taking good care of her and she brings Esmaralda to our program. During the church service, Esmealda and her stepmother sit side by side and Esmearlda likes to listen, especially to the songs of worship. She has a happy temperament and is joy for us who have her around. When the church organizes meetings for ladies, she also gets invited and comes to be part of these special events. The program of Adopt a Child is helping her with food constantly. She likes to come by herself and pick the box filled with groceries. Esmeralda is a person with different abilities and for persons with needs as hers, the government gives a special amount, to at least cover her medical care and what is most needed. The father of Esmeralda has rented a house in the town where they live. The members in her family are her father, stepmother and two stepbrothers. The stepbrothers are the children that her mother had from the first marriage and she has taken them with her. The father of Esmeralda is jobless. He works where hired so he can provide for his family. He works in day to day bases, not full time and for this reason, the finance of the family is very low. The members of this family are all living in poverty. The stepmother of Esmeralda is thankful to the program for the help in food and cloths that they receive at the program.
