My Story

It is such a pleasure to greet you by means of this letter. I want you to know that being part of the feeding program has been a great blessing. I have enjoyed delicious meals there for about two years. I am Sheily Adela de la Cruz Us and fortunately, I am a healthy 7-year-old girl. I am in first grade at school and I usually help my mother to sweep. I prefer hot weather because I can play with water alongside my older sister. We live with my mother and father. Fortunately, they are all doing well. My father works hard as a day laborer and farmer, while my mother dedicates her time to taking care of our family. She also raises chickens and pigs to sell and contribute to the expenses.

At church, we like learning more about God. We are members of the Methodist Church Rock of Salvation. I am so happy because my mother is assured of having eternal life in Jesus because she accepted Him in her heart a while ago. Sister Yojana (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to keep going, and that was a great blessing for my mother. I want to use this opportunity to tell you that my mother was part of the feeding program when she was a child. What she enjoyed the most was receiving Bible lessons and participating in the soccer championships. Before saying goodbye, I kindly ask you to pray for my family so that God keeps us healthy as we have been so far. I cannot repay you for it, but the Lord will reward you one hundredfold.
