My Story

Hello, good morning! I fondly greet you, hoping that the grace of the Lord be with you. I am Ana Dominga Poncio Franco, and I am 13 years old. I am pleased to tell you that I have attended the feeding program for one year. My aunt invited and encouraged me to go there alongside my cousins. Since then, my family and I have received many blessings. As proof of that, my father has been receiving medical care after a long time of suffering from a hernia in his left leg. Due to our low financial resources, he did not treat himself before. Fortunately, he could go to the medical campaign organized at the feeding program this year, and the LW clinic is already following-up on his situation. He already did some exams, which my mother and I really appreciate. Thank you so much for supporting the labor of LW-Adopt A Child with your donations!

I tell you that I no longer attend school because my parents cannot support my education, so I dedicate myself to taking care of my youngest brother. I sometimes shepherd our sheep, too. My mother keeps busy doing the chores and weaving typical clothes to contribute to the expenses. She occasionally sells the chickens and sheep we have at home. Although my father is still not doing well, he tills the land to bring food home. We attend the Catholic Renewal Charismatic Church. Our main motivation to go there is learning more and more about Jesus, our Lord and savior. We are assured of having eternal life in Him, thanks to the sacrifice that he did on the cross. To end this letter, I want to share with you that I like cold weather because it is much better than hot. Please pray for the well-being of my family, especially for my father’s situation.
