My Story

Hello! I am Renis Balliu. I am 5 years old and my birthday is on May 27th. I am doing well and my health is good. My favorite color is green and this is because I like to stay all time playing outside in the nature. We have nice weather recently and I play outside for many hours together with my brother. I go to kindergarten where I spend the first part of the day and I like to learn by heart every poem that the teacher is asking us to memorize. My future dream is to become an actor, and I desire to be in front of the children, interpreting the poems by heart that I learn. I like to spend my time inside the house playing with my car toys and I have gotten a new tractor that I am playing with during these days. I love this toy. It is my favorite besides the other car toys that I have. I live in a village that is near to Pogradec, but we need to do quite a long distance walk to be in town and to frequent the activities of the program. Even so, we have never missed once frequenting the Bible classes and the church services. I come together with my mother and brother every Friday to church and during the weekends, my mother brings us to the town so we can do shopping and have walks by the lake. Our house is very old and in poor condition. We have a bedroom and a living room, plus kitchen, but the house is very old. My father has been in prism for more than six months. Now he is out and has started to work where he can to provide for our family. He gets hired when they take him to load or unload lorries, which are coming to refill the markets. He is also working for firewood fields, when he is asked to carry wood for people who live in flats. My mother is jobless because my brother and I are very little and she needs to stay to care for us. She is busy too, doing cleaning, cooking and walking us to kindergarten. My brother and I receive food packages as well as spiritual care while we frequent the church of Living Water. The church has helped our family often with clothes and other things that were needed for us. Thank you for your generosity and care and God bless you.
