My Story

Hello, good afternoon! My full name is Damian Alessandro Mendoza Vasquez and I am so happy to share my updated information with you through this letter. I am 12 years old and I attend school as a fifth-grade student. Thankfully, I am in good health and I usually mop the floor, put away the dishes, and make my bed to contribute to the chores. I prefer the cold weather rather than hot. I have had the opportunity to enjoy delicious meals at the feeding program for about two years, which has been a great blessing. I also receive Bible lessons, which I like so much because they help me to learn more about God. I am so happy to tell you that my whole family is doing well. My father works hard by delivering medicine for a pharmacy, while my mother sells socks, second-hand clothes, and other items at the market. They strive to support our family, but it has been difficult for them since everything has risen in price.

Could you please pray for us? We live in a rented room, where it is barely big enough for a family of four people. We are grateful to my grandmother because she allows us to use her kitchen to prepare our meals since we do not have a stove at home to do it. She lives about four blocks from where we live. I want to use this opportunity to tell you that my parents are deeply grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for all the benefits that my brother and I have received there, such as medical assistance and spiritual guidance. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel with my mother and me as encouragement to remember that God is always willing to forgive our sins to make us worthy to get into heaven someday. My family and I attend a Catholic Church called Mary helper of Christians and the fellowship motivates us to continue persevering there. This is all for now, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter for you. I hope you enjoyed reading my information.

With much love,

Damian Alessandro Mendoza Vasquez
