My Story

I fondly greet you, hoping you are keeping well in the name of Jesus. I want to start this update by giving thanks to LW-Adopt A Child for each benefit such as food and spiritual guidance that I have received during those two years at the feeding program. My family and I wish many blessings for this organization and for those who support the work they do. May God bless you! I am Aracely Esmeralda Garcia Gonzalez and I am 8 years old. My family and I have passed through a hard economic situation, but we know that God is with us. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel, prayed, and encouraged my mother to not give up and trust in the Lord. Unfortunately, she suffers from asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure, and she needs to wear glasses because she has eye problems. She receives her medicines from a public clinic, but when they do not have what patients need, my mother has to wait for a while or she works by cleaning the school I attend to earn a little income.

However, this work is not stable since each mother or father takes turns doing this work. They usually receive Q25=$3.28 as a payment for washing the dishes, cleaning, and cooking. She is very happy when her turn comes because the money helps her to buy bread, tortillas or beans. The income that my father receives as a security guard is mostly used to pay for the rent of our house and the electricity and running water services. The rest of the money is used to buy food or cover other needs. Our current situation makes my mother cry, so I kindly ask you to pray for us. Despite challenges, I am grateful to my parents because they do their best to cover my education. I am in second grade at school and I usually sweep or mop the floor to contribute to the household chores. I am keeping well despite having asthma. I prefer hot rather than cold weather because I like running. About my spiritual life, I tell you that my family and I do not attend any church at the moment, but I hope we can do it soon.  It is time to say goodbye, but thank you so much for reading my information.

Sincerely yours,

Aracely Esmeralda Garcia Gonzalez
