My Story

Special regards from Cuatro Caminos village! I hope this updated information finds you keeping well. This is Suleyma Leticia Barrera Gutierrez, and I tell you that my whole family and I are in good health. I am 7 years old and I attend school as a pre-kindergartener. I have attended the feeding program for about two years. What I like the most is listening to Bible stories before having my meals. At home, I usually help my mother to feed our chickens. My father is the main supporter of our family, but my mother strives to contribute to the household expenses. She sells domestic animals that she raises and works in a tortilleria business. My father makes a living as a day laborer and farmer.

I prefer cold rather than hot weather because it is refreshing and perfect to drink a delicious cup of coffee. At church, I like receiving Bible lessons once a week. My family and I are glad to be part of the Catholic Church because our siblings in Christ encourage us to keep going in our faith. To end this letter, I tell you that my family is grateful for all the blessings that I have received through LW-Adopt A Child. My mother remembers that she felt motivated to take my siblings and me there because our neighbors told her that there was an organization that supported children in need with food, medicine, and spiritual guidance. Thank you so much for supporting their work! We are sure that God will reward you one hundred times.
