My Story

This is Julio Alex, and I am writing this letter with my grandmother’s help. I want to share with you part of my life. I am not attending school yet due to my young age. I will turn 6 in December. I stay at home playing with my toys, and I help my grandma to feed our chicks. I love eating snow cones, so I prefer the hot weather. I have been attending the feeding program for more than one year. I tell you that my mom also attended the program when she was younger, and she was part of the discipleship group; she loved the soccer championships. Her experience at the program was what motivated her to register me in it.

My mother works in a tortillas business in Guatemala City, and she comes home every two months. She sends my siblings and me a monthly support, and she also keeps in touch with us every day. We are under the care of our grandparents, Candelaria and Julio Gomez. My grandpa works as a farmer and day laborer while my grandma raises domestic animals and tends her small grocery store. They only cover their needs because my mother covers ours. My maternal aunts also live with us.

My family and I are attending Prince of Peace Church, and I like hearing and learning about God. We have accepted Jesus in our hearts, so we are secure that we will enter His Kingdom someday. LW Evangelism team has motivated us to continue seeking God, and we took advantage of this to ask for prayer for our family and health. Well, I close my letter wishing you the best.
