My Story

Hello, good afternoon! I hope this letter finds you prospered and blessed, in the name of Jesus. My full name is Gerson Santos de la Cruz Ajqui and I want you to know that LW-Adopt A Child has been a big blessing for me. I have attended the feeding program for a long time. What I like the most is receiving Bible lessons because they help me to learn more about God. I am 10 years old and I am doing my best at school as a fourth-grade student. I prefer the cold weather rather than hot because it is perfect to wear warm clothes. By the grace of the Lord, my whole family and I are in good health.

My father works hard as a farmer and day laborer in our village. My older brother and I usually dedicate ourselves to helping him to take care of his corn crops after school. While my father works outside, my mother keeps busy with her business to contribute to the expenses. She makes and sells desserts made of shaved and flavored iced and we typically call them “granizadas”. We attend the Assembly of God-Light and Life Church. My mother has assurance of her salvation because she accepted Jesus in her heart. This is all for now, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to provide all this information to brother Mario, a member of the LW staff. He took advantage to encourage my mother to continue looking for God. Until next time!

Kind regards,

Gerson Santos de la Cruz Ajqui
