My Story

Hello! My name is Manuel, and I writing this letter to tell you a little about my life. I want to share with you some sad news about my family. Unfortunately, my father got sick from gastritis at the beginning of this year, and sadly, he passed away in February. He visited a doctor and took medicine for it. He recovered for 20 days, but one morning he woke up and vomited a lot; hours later, he passed away. He was at the coast when it happened, so he had to be buried there because it was very expensive to bring him to our village. Now, my mother is single parent and has to do her best to cover all our needs. It has not been easy for her. She gathers firewood for selling, and sometimes, she works with a neighbor by picking tomatoes. Thankfully, she is in good health. She helped me with this letter for you.

Thank God, I am in good health. I am 5 years old, and I do not attend school yet due to my age. I love summer time because I can go to the river with my siblings. I have attended the feeding program for more than 1 year. My mother is very grateful for all the support I have received at the program; the delicious lunches were what motivated my mother to register us in it. My family and I are attending a Pentecostal Church called Prince of Peace, and I love the praise time and hearing God’s Word. I am secure that I will enter God’s kingdom because I already accepted Him in my heart. Please keep us in your prayers so that God provides for our daily needs.
