Special regards from Guatemala! In this opportunity, I want to start by expressing to you how blessed I am for being part of LW-Adopt A Child. I am Hilaria Hermelinda Garcia Chingo and I have enjoyed delicious food and medicine for free at the feeding program for about two years. What I like the most is receiving Bible lessons and praying together with other children. I am 7 years old and I am in good health. I am in first grade and after coming back from school, I usually wash the dishes. I prefer the hot weather rather than cold because I like going to the river. I live with my mother, father, and two siblings. Thankfully, we are in good health and that is a blessing nowadays. My mother is a busy housewife and does her best to contribute to the expenses with the income she gets by selling chickens.
She also had the opportunity to attend this charity organization. What she liked the most was participating in the games organized by the LW staff. Moreover, she was part of the youth group and learned how to pray and praise the Lord with her voice. My father works hard in the United States as a janitor, thanks to the work visa that he has to be there for six months. He is in touch with us and sends us money every month. We are members of the Catholic Church, where we enjoy participating in the holy mass to learn more about God and praise his holy name while we sing. I am pleased to tell you that my mother has assurance of her salvation since she accepted Jesus in her heart. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter for you, which I hope you enjoyed reading. Until next time!
With much love,
Hilaria Hermelinda Garcia Chingo
