My Story

It is such a big blessing to greet you by means of this letter. My full name is Yasner Alexander Xajap Alvarez, and I am glad to be part of the feeding program. I have gone there for one year and throughout this time, I have taken part in the Bible classes before having my meals. What I like the most is praying. My family and I are grateful for all the help we have received there. May God reward you for blessing and loving children through LW-Adopt A Child! I am 6 years old and I am in kindergarten. Instead of cold weather, I prefer hot because I like playing with water. About my health, let me tell you that I suffer from a serious toothache, but I pray and ask God that my family can take me to the dentist soon.

I live with my mother, grandmother, and other relatives. Everybody is doing well. My mother is a single mother and works hard as a customer service representative in a shoe shop to support me and contribute to pay for the house that we are renting. Her job schedules are demanding, so I have not had the opportunity to spend time with her as I would like. She leaves home very early in the morning and comes back when I am already sleeping. Therefore, I kindly ask you to pray for us.  While my mother keeps busy at work, my grandmother takes care of me. She also works by selling hot beverages and typical snacks three times a week in a nearby park to contribute to the expenses. To end this letter, I tell you that we still do not attend any church. Brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) shared the gospel and encouraged us to follow Jesus. We appreciate all his advice and hope to do it soon. We have not accepted Jesus yet because we do not want to fail Him, so I ask you to pray for our spiritual life too. See you later!

With much love,

Yasner Alexander Xajap Alvarez
