Special regards from the most beautiful Central American country, Guatemala! I am so happy to share that I have attended the feeding program of LW for about two years. Thanks to many generous people, my oldest brother and I can enjoy delicious food just like my parents used to do when they were children. What they loved the most was eating fried chicken, French fries, and soda as the last lunch of the year in the feeding program. This is Adrian Caleb Lopez Pelen, and I am 6 years old. I am in kindergarten and I like the cool weather. About my health, I tell you that I was born with a malformation in my right foot and cerebral palsy. Fortunately, I have been doing well after the surgery that I had last year in my foot. I continue doing my therapies in a private clinic every fifteen days in Duenas town. At home, I usually help my mother to sweep. She always keeps busy doing many other chores and taking care my youngest sister, while my father goes to work as a bricklayer to support our family.
The place where we live belongs to my mother; my family and I live in the second level, while my grandparents live in the first one. We do not share the expenses for the electricity or running water with them because each family has separate services. My family and I are members of Liberty Church. We feel motivated to go there because of the nice services and worship time. My siblings and I enjoy taking part in the Bible school. The worship band sounds really good and I would like to serve there by playing an instrument. I tell you that sister Raquel (a member of the evangelism team) recently talked with my mother about Heaven. She told her that she assured her salvation by accepting Jesus as her Lord. That decision changed her life and now, she strives to not lose that grace because of sins. My mother appreciated her kind words and added that we must be humble and ask for God's mercy to be admitted into Heaven. This is all for now, but I hope to hear from you soon.
With much love,
Adrian Caleb Lopez Pelen
